TEAMS IN RINGETTE WALAPAIS DURING SEASON 2022-2023

Easy to join!

During the season 2023 – 2024 we have active junior teams G (Under-8), two F teams (Under-10), E (Under-12) and Womens' C-level team in Walapais. There is room for new players in all of our junior teams. A prerequisite is the skating skills with hockey skates. Please visit our training sessions to talk with us and to get to know the teammates. We are sure there is a suitable team for everyone with a role using one’s own strengths - provided with great teammates.

Training children and teenagers to skate on ice

If you are lacking in the skills to skate on ice, you can easily acquire those skills in one of our Walapais’s skating schools. In addition to the traditional Children’s Skating School, due to the popular reception of Teenagers’ Skating school, which was launched in the season of 2019-2020 - will continue also in season 2021-2022. Teenagers' Skating School is meant for 10-16 year old beginners.

Womens’ recreational / C-level team continues with the same relaxed and positive attitude as earlier, also during the season 2023 - 2024.

Fees during the Season 2023-2024

The preliminary monthly fees during the season 2023 – 2024 are the following:

Skating schools: 25 EUR when participating once per week and 35 EUR when participating twice a week

Junior teams G and F: 50 EUR

Junior team E: 70 EUR

Teenagers' hobby group: 40 EUR

Womens' team: 40 EUR

In addition to the monthly fee there is the club’s membership fee 30 x 30 = 60 eur invoiced once during the season (August – April).

All new players are warmly welcome to play ringette in Walapais! There is room for new players in all teams of ours. You may join a team at any point of time during the season.

During the season 2021 – 2022 the following teams will participate in the Southern Finland’s regional series (*except Teenagers' hobby group, which plays practice games):

JUNIOR TEAM G
(born in 2014 and 2015)

Walapais’s junior team G is full of enthusiasm and energy for skating. Occasionally it feels that their energy is even overwhelming and cannot be contained inside the ice rink.

The junior team G consists of young novice ringette players who welcome newcomers if they are able to stay up on the skates and have already learned the basics of the skating.

JUNIOR TEAMS F
(born in 2012 and 2013)

Walapais’s junior teams of F consists of positive young ringette players who enjoy being on the ice. The team has a great team spirit, so it is easy to come to try ringette with them and start ringette as a new hobby.

JUNIOR TEAM E
(born in 2010 and 2011)

Walapais’s junior team E is made of cheerful and sporty girls. Closest to the heart is to play as a team and improve own skating and ringette skills.

Even though the team takes training seriously, there is a lot of smiles and laughter in the trainings, games and locker room.

TEENAGERS' HOBBY GROUP
(born between 2005 and 2009)

Teenagers' hobby group consists of energetic and sports-oriented young girls. The most important thing for the group is to enjoy skating, game of ringette and joint activities – both on the ice and outside the ice.

It has traditionally been easy for new players to join the team, regardless of the level of skills and background of new players.
